Quarry Bank Mill

In June our GCSE History cohort visited Quarry Bank Mill as part of their 'History Around Us' studies.

The students were guided around the Mill site, Apprentice House and village of Styal by some excellent and knowledgeable guides gaining key insights into the technological developments of the mill, and the lives and experiences of apprentices at Quarry Bank 200 years ago.
The students were excellent, asking interesting questions that will be invaluable in their GCSE paper in less than year.

Thanks must first go to the students who behaved excellently, the volunteer guides at Quarry Bank and also Mr Playle, Mrs Nield, Mr Brant and Mrs Wildgoose for their support of the trip.
