We are delighted that our latest Ofsted Inspection (March 2025) recognised New Mills School as Good in all areas: the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership and management. Inspectors highlighted that:

• “Pupils are happy and feel safe at New Mills School. They are well supported by staff and value the positive relationships they have with trusted adults.”

• “The school’s values of ‘Think Big,’ ‘Do the Right Thing,’ and ‘Team Spirit’ are reflected in the way pupils conduct themselves.”

• “The school has high expectations of all pupils… Pupils achieve well across the curriculum, particularly in practical subjects such as media studies, engineering and art, where their work is consistently of a high standard.”

• “Pastoral staff are highly visible, and pupils describe them as caring and approachable.”

This recognition reflects the relentless commitment of our staff, students, and families in making New Mills School a safe, ambitious, and inclusive place to learn.
