National Justice Museum
As part of our PSHE curriculum, during the summer term all Year 9 students studied the Law, Crime and Society. To enhance students' learning experience, they were offered the opportunity to visit the National Justice Museum in Manchester. Students took part in an interactive courtroom workshop, where they examined a case then prepared and presented a trial based on the evidence available. Students were given the opportunity to play the roles of judge, jury, defence and the prosecution. At the end of the trial students reached a verdict and discussed sentencing options.
