Uniform Adjustments from Monday 22nd June
With very warm weather forecast next week, we are making a temporary adjustment to our uniform expectations to help students remain comfortable while maintaining our usual high standards. Students are welcome to continue wearing their full school uniform if they prefer.
Alternatively, from Monday 22 June until further notice, students may wear the school PE polo shirt instead of their usual shirt and tie. Blazers will not be required. Students may wear either:
- their usual school skirt; or
- The "loose black unbranded sport shorts" specified in the school's PE uniform policy.
Students should continue to bring their full PE kit for timetabled PE lessons.
Students wishing to wear cycling shorts or compression shorts may do so underneath their school skirt, but these items are not permitted to be worn as a substitute for the approved uniform during the school day.
To help students stay safe and comfortable in the warm weather, we also ask that they:
- bring a refillable water bottle to school each day;
- apply sunscreen before arriving at school and bring additional sunscreen if they wish to reapply during the day;
- wear a sensible hat when outdoors during break and lunchtime if they choose to do so;
- make use of shaded areas during social times where possible.
We will continue to monitor the weather forecast and will communicate any further adjustments if necessary.
